Since its inception in 1988, INNOVATIVE SPORTS TECHNOLOGIES' goal has been to
product the most technologically advanced composite sports equipment, while
maintaining the highest quality standards in the industry. This goal has been
met year after year through research, development and the use of only the
highest quality materials and quality control measures.
Originally a graphite golf shaft manufacturer, Innovative expanded quickly into
other markets such as hockey and snow skiing. Our design team continues to
combine the knowledge gained from working within these industries to create
innovative new designs and manufacture superior products.
We have been successful in supplying golf shafts to major OEM manufacturers who
demand only the highest quality. Innovative works side by side with these OEM
customers to design shafts that enhance the performance of their clubs while
maintaining tight tolerances needed shaft after shaft.
In addition to OEM design, we are consistently developing and producing new and
exciting designs to add to our line of golf shafts, many of which have become
firsts in the industry.
Innovative produced the first "STEP" graphite shaft in 1988. The 100% graphite
AUTOSTEP shaft had steps similar to steel shafts. This shaft was introduced to
the industry well before the current trend of new geometric designs in graphite.
In 1989 the AUTO-STEP line also offered the option of an Oversize Butt Diameter,
again leading the way for the new oversize butt and tip diameter trend.
Innovative was once again at the leading edge of technology in 1994 with the
COMP TOUR LITE shaft which was the first lightweight shaft offered with less
than 3 degrees of torque. The COMP TOUR LITE continues to be one of the hottest
shafts in the industry.
Our engineers and designers have combined over 30 years of tubular composite
experience to achieve the newest in technological advancements, no only in
composite golf shafts but also in other sports equipment, suh as hockey sticks,
ski poles and windsurfing products.
The name Innovative is synonymous with performance-used by the best in the NHL
and WORLD CUP Winter and Summer sporting events.
The Compression Curing System applies over 100 psi of pressure to each
shaft during the curing process. This proprietary cure system utilizes steam
during the thermal cure cycle rather than conventinal oven curing. This unique
application allows us to produce the highest density and most void free shaft
available by compressing the carbon material 300% more than standard filament
would and laid up carbon shafts.
The result is a shaft of superior structural integrity which is more resistant
to breakage than other shafts. Each shaft is meaured for straightness to with
.001" and frequency analyszed to insure consistent flex shaft after shaft.
Additionally, the Compression Curing System ensures that shafts will retain
their flex consistency after prolonged periods of use.
